And these plants exhibit a wide range of pharmacological activities, including anticancer, antidiabetic, antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflamatory, wound healing, hepatoprotective and immunomodulatory effects. The common medicinal weeds such as Taraxacum officinale L., Urtica dioica L., Plantago major L., Amaranthus viridis L., and the prevention and treatment of various diseases. This review highlights the health benefits of important weed species, their phytochemical constituents and therapeutic applications and future prospects in modern medicine. Understanding the medicinal significance these plants from agricultural nuisances to valuable healthcare.
