Abstract
In today’s world, media occupies an important place in society. People get to know what is happening around the world and accordingly formulate their opinions. One can say that media is the voice of the people.
There are many functions of the media — it persuades, provides information, entertains, and keeps an eye on the work of the government. Man is surrounded by its presence, whether in the form of print, electronic, or internet media. Therefore, it also has an impact on its users depending on how they use it.
Many studies have pointed out that media has a lot of negative impacts on society. It has been criticized for playing a negative role in the lives of people. However, this paper argues that although media can have negative effects on its viewers, it still plays an important role in people’s lives. It is one of the vital tools in the hands of the common man, and we cannot ignore the positive aspects of its presence.
