Challenges and Prospects of Implementing the National Education Policy 2020 in Himachal Pradesh

Abstract
This research report explores the challenges and suggestions in the implementation of National Education Policy 2020 in Himachal Pradesh, India. NEP 2020 is a comprehensive reform policy to transform the Indian education system with emphasis on holistic and interdisciplinary education, experiential learning, technology integration, and skill development. However, the implementation of the policy faces challenges
including inadequate capacity, resources, and infrastructure. The report offers suggestions to address these challenges including capacity building, stakeholder engagement, monitoring and evaluation, resource mobilization, local adaptation, and collaboration with the central government. Overall, the report highlights that NEP 2020, if implemented effectively, has the potential to transform the education system in Himachal Pradesh
