Abstract
The National Education Policy, 2020 (NEP–2020) has introduced comprehensive reforms aims at reconstructing Indian Schools and higher educational system to meet global standards. The Four-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) as the minimum qualification for school teachers in India is mandatory by 2030. While this reform seeks to promote multidisciplinary learning, research orientation flexibility and holistic development, its implementation has generated several issues and challenges. These issues and challenges need to be addressed keeping in view faculty, curriculum, access and employment. The following is an in-depth review of the literature associated with these issues. To examine and address the problems associated with the Four-Year integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) under NEP, 2020 in India.
