Quality Improvement of Education Through Teacher Collegiality

Abstract

A beautiful symphony is the result of unity and harmony of each individual member of the orchestra. Working harmoniously in an institution is also like a symphony. If different capabilities, skills and expertise work together with united mind and unidirectional for a single goal, the output will be as beautiful and sweet as a concert. Research has given evidences that, a strong collegial relationship amongst staff members is one of the secrets behind successful educational institutions. A culture of collegiality is essential for quality improvement of educational institutions. This article is a conceptual paper that gives a brief description on collegiality and its benefits.
