The study examines in-service teacher education programmes and their role in strengthening continuous professional development. Using a case study of eight programmes conducted by RIE, BBSR (2016–17), data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires and analyzed using qualitative and quantitative methods. Findings indicate that participant interest and punctuality are crucial for achieving programme objectives. Distance education supports flexibility, access to learning resources, learner autonomy, self-regulation, discipline, and academic integrity. The study recommends continuous evaluation of such programmes to maintain teacher quality.
