About the Journal

The International Journal of Communication Development (IJCD) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the study of communication, mass media, and development within a global and interdisciplinary context. It aims to provide a dynamic platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to explore the complex relationships between communication processes and socio-economic, political, and cultural development. The journal places particular emphasis on bridging Indian and international perspectives, encouraging comparative and cross-cultural research that reflects diverse realities.

IJCD welcomes original, high-quality contributions across a wide range of areas, including development communication, digital media, media policy and governance, journalism studies, political communication, cultural studies, and emerging communication technologies. The journal is especially interested in research that addresses contemporary challenges such as media ethics, information access, sustainability, and the role of communication in fostering social change and inclusive development.

Submissions may include empirical research papers, theoretical analyses, review articles, and case studies that offer innovative insights and methodological rigor. All manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Each submission undergoes a strict peer-review process to ensure academic integrity, relevance, and quality.

By promoting critical inquiry and scholarly excellence, IJCD seeks to contribute meaningfully to the global discourse on communication and development, while fostering dialogue among academics, policymakers, and media professionals across diverse contexts.
